The inspiration for this book arose from my love of Mozart’s music. The concept was to create a book that collects several of Mozart’s most famous melodies. I also wanted to create a book that really shows off what a solo ukulele can do. I wanted to push the limits of the ukulele, and I think the result is very successful. It also adds to the ukulele’s classical repertoire as well. If you love the ukulele and Mozart, I think you will appreciate the hard work that went into this collection. The skill level of the book is Intermediate/Advanced, However, there is one or two easy ones as well. The pieces are arranged for High gCEA standard tuned ukuleles. These arrangements contain everything from pieces that Mozart composed when he was five years of age, to his master works that come from his operas, or his instrumental music. It also includes all four movements of Eine Kleine Nachtmusik! The Arrangements are presented in order of the operas first, then the instrumental music. It is my sincere hope that these arrangements will push the envelope of the solo ukulele and will enrich the ukulele repertoire as a whole. The arrangements in this edition will provide ukulele players with some of the best music ever composed to play on their ukulele! Lastly, I hope you have fun and enjoy playing all of these arrangements, and in the process gain a greater appreciation for the ukulele, and the possibilities that lie inside of this tiny instrument from Hawaii!
