By forming a thin yet tough ceramic layer, Tin helps protect against scratches, galling, and abrasion, keeping the beam's surface smooth and flat even under frequent or heavy use.
- LOCK SCREW: Dial Caliper includes a lock screw that serves two key functions. it secures the dial bezel once you've zeroed the pointer, preventing the bezel from rotating and losing its reference setting. It clamps the sliding jaw in place so that once you've made a measurement, the jaws won't shift. This helps preserve accuracy and allows you to remove the caliper and still read the measurement.
